Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand become accessible through a new line-up of short cruises running through January 2027
StarCruises is expanding its Southeast Asia cruise offering with a new programme aboard Star Voyager, giving travellers more ways to combine Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand in a single holiday.
Running from 25 September 2026 to 1 January 2027, the new programme includes 2-, 3- and 4-night cruises departing from Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Melaka. Depending on the sailing, itineraries will also include calls at Penang, Langkawi, Pangkor, Phuket and Krabi.
The move strengthens StarCruises’ positioning in the short-cruise segment, particularly for travellers looking to add a cruise to a wider Southeast Asia holiday rather than commit to a longer voyage.
Singapore emerges as a fly-cruise gateway
From 25 September 2026 to 1 January 2027, Star Voyager will operate a range of 2-, 3- and 4-night itineraries from Singapore.
For international travellers, Singapore offers an established fly-cruise gateway, allowing them to combine a city stay with a short cruise. The cruise itineraries then open up access to multiple destinations across Malaysia, including Melaka, Penang, Kuala Lumpur, Pangkor and Langkawi.
The destination mix gives travellers the option to move between historic cities, food and cultural experiences and island escapes within a single holiday.
Some itineraries also allow guests arriving in Melaka to take a shore excursion to Kuala Lumpur, adding another layer to the multi-destination experience.
Malaysia gets its own departure options
StarCruises will also operate sailings from Kuala Lumpur and Melaka between 28 September and 29 December 2026.
The 2- and 3-night cruises will visit destinations including Penang, Langkawi and Pangkor, while selected sailings will extend to Phuket and Krabi in Thailand.
Singapore will also feature as a port of call on selected itineraries, giving travellers departing from Malaysia an opportunity to combine the two countries within one cruise holiday.

Short cruises, multiple experiences
The new programme reflects the growing role of shorter cruises as an easy way for travellers to sample multiple destinations without dedicating an entire holiday to a cruise.
For Star Voyager guests, time between ports will be complemented by the ship’s dining, entertainment, leisure and relaxation offerings, allowing the itinerary to balance destination exploration with time onboard.
With departures from both Singapore and Malaysia, the programme also gives travel advisors greater flexibility in building cruise-plus-land holidays across Southeast Asia.
Bookings for Star Voyager sailings departing from 25 September 2026 onwards will open on 9 September 2026. Travellers can book through StarCruises or their preferred travel advisor.
