Press Release | July 7, 2026
Saudi has unveiled Package Visa, a new digital initiative that integrates tourist visa applications directly with travel bookings, making it easier for international travellers to plan and visit the Kingdom. The rollout has begun through qualified travel and tourism service providers in select international markets, with a broader global expansion planned in the coming months.
The initiative is part of Saudi’s ongoing efforts to simplify travel and enhance the visitor experience as the country continues to position itself as a leading global tourism destination.
Building on the success of the tourist e-Visa, visa on arrival and the Stopover Transit Visa, the new Package Visa further streamlines the travel process by allowing eligible visitors to complete their visa application while booking curated travel packages. Instead of arranging flights, accommodation and visas separately, travellers can access an integrated booking journey that also includes the option to add events, activities and tourism experiences.
According to Saudi, the initiative is designed to reduce friction in the travel planning process while encouraging visitors to explore more of the destination through bundled experiences.
Commenting on the launch, His Excellency Ahmed Al Khateeb, Saudi Minister of Tourism, said: “As Saudi’s tourism sector continues to grow at pace, Package Visa reflects our commitment to making travel to Saudi more seamless for visitors. By integrating visa issuance with travel bookings, we are simplifying the visitor journey and creating a more connected travel experience. This initiative also strengthens collaboration across the tourism ecosystem and supports Saudi’s position as an increasingly accessible global destination.”
The Package Visa also presents new opportunities for qualified travel and tourism service providers by enabling them to offer comprehensive travel packages, simplify the customer journey and encourage longer stays. To ensure service quality, the programme is currently available only through approved travel and tourism providers that meet defined service standards and offer round-the-clock customer support.
The launch comes as Saudi’s tourism sector continues its rapid expansion. The Kingdom welcomed more than 29 million inbound visitors in 2025, supported by a series of visa reforms aimed at improving accessibility for international travellers.
Package Visa represents another milestone in Saudi’s broader tourism strategy, reinforcing its focus on delivering seamless, experience-led travel while strengthening collaboration across the tourism value chain.
