I landed in Baku with a familiar expectation — follow the group, review the destination, return back. It was a structured FAM with #OAGlobeDMC and Marriott International, built for travel designers.
But by Day 1, it was clear the itinerary didn’t fit a journalist’s lens. Property visits mattered — just not to us. That shift could have been acknowledged and ignored. It wasn’t.
Within hours, OA Globe DMC redesigned Day 2 for two of us — seamlessly, instinctively, without disrupting the larger plan. No noise, no over-explanation. Just understanding. And that’s where the real story lies. Because a DMC isn’t defined by how perfectly it delivers a plan on paper. It’s defined by how quickly it reads the room… listens, adapts and responds — without being asked twice.
That’s not flexibility.
That’s instinct. And instinct is what builds trust.
Kudos to Rahim Aslam, @Vishal Saroj K Jena and the whole team of OA Globe DMC in Baku.
