NORWEGIAN CRUISE LINE LAUNCHES FIRST-EVER SEMI-ANNUAL SALE WITH 50% OFF ALL CRUISES, PLUS FREE PRE-PAID GRATUITIES ON SELECT SAILINGS

Norwegian Cruise Line launches first-ever global sale with 50% off cruises and complimentary gratuities

July 15, 2026 | Press Release

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) is turning up the heat on cruise bookings with the launch of its first-ever Semi-Annual Sale, offering travellers 50% off all cruises along with complimentary pre-paid gratuities on select sailings—a move designed to encourage both last-minute holidays and early bookings well into 2027.

Available until July 20, 2026, the limited-period promotion applies across NCL’s global portfolio, covering itineraries in Europe, Alaska, Hawaii and the Caribbean. The offer can also be combined with the cruise line’s Free at Sea™ package, allowing guests to add benefits such as unlimited beverages, specialty dining, shore excursion credits and Wi-Fi.

According to the cruise line, the complimentary gratuity offer can translate into savings starting from US$280 for two guests on a standard seven-night qualifying voyage.

“Our first-ever Semi-Annual Sale is the best deal of the season, giving our guests even more reason to book their next holiday with us,” said Ben Angell, Managing Director APAC, Norwegian Cruise Line. “Combining incredible destinations, award-winning onboard offerings and the freedom and flexibility for our guests to design their dream holiday is what NCL stands for.”

Europe continues to dominate demand

The promotion comes at a time when Europe remains one of the strongest-performing cruise regions globally. NCL will deploy 12 ships across Europe through 2027, offering port-intensive itineraries that allow travellers to experience multiple countries without changing hotels.

Departures are available from key cruise gateways including Barcelona, Rome (Civitavecchia), Venice (Ravenna), Athens (Piraeus), Lisbon and Southampton, connecting guests to Mediterranean coastlines, the Greek Isles, Northern Europe and the British Isles.

Among the highlights is Norwegian Epic, which will operate seven-night Mediterranean cruises between Barcelona and Rome, while Norwegian Dawn, Norwegian Star and Norwegian Sun will offer a mix of Mediterranean and Northern European voyages.

Hawaii remains a unique offering

For travellers looking beyond Europe, NCL continues to position Pride of America as one of its most distinctive products.

As the only major U.S.-flagged cruise ship offering year-round inter-island Hawaiian cruises, the vessel sails seven-night roundtrip voyages from Honolulu with no sea days, allowing guests to spend more time exploring the islands. Overnight stays in Maui and Kauai further enhance the destination-focused experience.

Alaska cruises focus on immersive experiences

Nature-led holidays also remain a major focus for the cruise line, with Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Encore and Norwegian Joy operating seven- to ten-night Alaska itineraries from Seattle.

The voyages visit iconic ports such as Juneau, Ketchikan and Skagway, with ships specifically designed to maximise glacier viewing through expansive observation spaces and outdoor decks.

The cruise line continues to position Alaska as a destination where travellers can combine wildlife encounters, scenic cruising and cultural experiences without compromising on onboard comfort.

Caribbean expansion continues

NCL’s Caribbean programme is also set to expand significantly over the next year.

The cruise line will operate voyages from Miami, Port Canaveral and New York aboard its newest ships, including Norwegian Aqua, Norwegian Luna, Norwegian Viva and the upcoming Norwegian Aura, scheduled to debut from Miami in June 2027.

Adding further appeal is the continued transformation of Great Stirrup Cay, NCL’s private island in the Bahamas. From September 4, 2026, the destination will introduce the new Great Tides Waterpark, featuring 19 waterslides, cliff-jumping attractions and family-focused experiences aimed at strengthening the island’s position as a key highlight of Caribbean itineraries.

With the new sale spanning departures through 2027, Norwegian Cruise Line is clearly targeting travellers who are planning well ahead while also capitalising on strong demand for premium cruise holidays across multiple regions. The combination of discounted fares, added-value inclusions and flexible booking options is expected to further stimulate bookings during the peak summer sales period.
