Vietjet boosts holiday, summer travel with added flights and special fares

Vietjet ramps up Vietnam connectivity for summer, rolls out festive fares for Indian travellers

April 8, 2026 | Press Release

Vietnam’s low-cost carrier Vietjet is scaling up operations ahead of the peak holiday season, introducing additional domestic capacity and limited-period promotional fares aimed at stimulating summer travel demand from India and across its network.

The airline will operate nearly 3,800 domestic flights across Vietnam between April 25 and May 5, marking an increase of around 500 flights compared to the same period last year. This expansion translates into approximately 832,000 seats, up 18% year-on-year, as the carrier prepares for one of the country’s busiest travel windows.

The surge in capacity coincides with Vietnam’s extended public holiday period, spanning the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day and the Reunification Day–International Labour Day celebrations—traditionally the second-highest travel peak after Tet.

For Indian travellers, the enhanced domestic network strengthens multi-city itinerary options within Vietnam. Vietjet currently connects major Indian gateways including Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Hyderabad to key Vietnamese hubs such as Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The increased domestic frequencies are expected to facilitate seamless onward connectivity to leisure destinations including Da Nang, Nha Trang and Phu Quoc.

To capitalise on the holiday rush, the airline has introduced a limited-time fare promotion offering up to 20% off on Deluxe, SkyBoss and Business fare categories. The offer, valid for bookings until April 10, 2026, applies to travel across its network until August 31, 2026, excluding taxes and fees.

With stable international operations complemented by expanded domestic capacity, Vietjet is positioning itself as a key connector for Indian outbound travel to Vietnam and onward Asia-Pacific destinations. The airline also continues to encourage digital adoption, urging passengers to complete online check-in in advance to ensure smoother airport experiences during peak travel periods.
