March 6, 2026 | Team TBT

StarCruises has announced three special 5-night sailings from Hong Kong in 2026 aboard the Star Voyager, expanding its regional cruise options with itineraries to Japan’s Okinawa islands, Vietnam and Sanya.

The additional sailings are scheduled for 22 March, 26 April and 3 May 2026, offering destination-focused cruise options for travellers seeking longer regional getaways from Hong Kong.

The itineraries include two “Okinawa Adventure” cruises to Japan and one “Enchanting Vietnam & Sanya” voyage, adding to the cruise line’s existing short-break sailings from the city.

New 5-Night Cruise Itineraries

Okinawa Adventure Cruises – Japan

  • 22 March 2026: Miyakojima & Naha
  • 3 May 2026: Ishigaki & Naha

These voyages highlight the natural beauty and culture of Okinawa’s Ryukyu islands, combining beach destinations such as Miyakojima and Ishigaki with the cultural hub of Naha, home to the historic Shurijo Castle.

Enchanting Vietnam & Sanya Cruise

  • 26 April 2026: Halong Bay – Da Nang – Sanya

This itinerary combines three popular regional destinations including the UNESCO-listed Ha Long Bay, the coastal city of Da Nang, and the tropical island destination Sanya.

“We are delighted to introduce these special 5 Night cruises from Hong Kong as part of our continued commitment to offering more exciting and diverse vacation options for our guests,” said Michael Goh, President of StarDream Cruises. “With the addition of Okinawa, Vietnam and Sanya, travellers can look forward to discovering stunning destinations while enjoying the vibrant onboard experiences aboard Star Voyager. Whether it’s a quick getaway or a longer holiday, we are proud to provide convenient sailings from Hong Kong that combine comfort, exploration and unforgettable moments at sea.”

Expanded Options for Regional Cruise Getaways

The new 5-night departures complement StarCruises’ existing short-duration sailings from Hong Kong, providing travel agents with a wider range of cruise products to sell across different traveller segments.

Current itineraries include:

  • 3-Night “Tropical Escape to Sanya” – Sunday departures
  • 2-Night “Cultural Discovery Cruise: Xiamen” – Wednesday departures to Xiamen
  • 2-Night “Weekend Sea Breeze Cruise” – Friday departures to the high seas

With itineraries ranging from 2-night short breaks to 5-night destination cruises, the programme offers flexible cruise options suited for families, couples and holidaymakers seeking regional sailings from Hong Kong.

For the travel trade, the new itineraries further strengthen Hong Kong’s position as a regional cruise hub for Northeast and Southeast Asian itineraries, offering convenient access to Japan, Vietnam and China’s tropical island destinations.
